Dermacea Gauze Sponges are a sterile, 100%  pure cotton surgical gauze sponge. Made with 8-ply for thickness for optimal absorption. Dermacea gauze sponges are designed to be a more economical version of the Excilon gauze line from Kendall Healthcare (Covidien).

100 % cotton gauze pads can be very useful when packing an open wound. Not only are they naturally gentile on the skin and tissue, but they are also very absorbent. Cotton gauze is made to effectively keep your patient's wound dry and clean as it “wicks” away moisture and protects the wound from the environment. They are also less likely to stick to a wound as it heals, unlike synthetic materials like rayon. This helps keep the wound safer and faster-healing. Unfortunately, 100% cotton gauze can be pricey, which is why Covidien designed Dermacia Sterile Gauze Sponges. They are equal in value, match the name brand in qualiy, but are more cost-effective for you facility.
