The Exos Long Thumb Spica provides stabilization to the first metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint and first carpometacarpal (CMC) joints in addition to providing secondary support to the radoicarpal and radioulnar wrist joints.

 

The Exos is excellent support for injuries of the thumb at the CMC joint including Bennett's or Rolando's fractures.

 

In addition to the above conditions, the Exos Long Thumb Spica can be useful for navicular (scaphoid) fractures and arthritis injuries involving the trapezium or trapezoid bones in the wrist.

 

The ability to thermoform the brace to the patient ensures a comfortable fit.

 

Trimming or adjusting the brace can allow for greater IP Flexion.
